What is Thai Massage?

What should I wear during a Thai massage?

You should wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement, as Thai massage involves stretching and various body positions. Avoid tight or restrictive clothing.

How long does a Thai massage session last?

Our Thai massage sessions typically last 20, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes, depending on your preference.

Is Thai massage painful?

Thai massage involves deep pressure and stretching, which may feel intense but should not be painful. Please communicate with your therapist about your comfort level, and they will adjust the pressure accordingly.

Can I request a female or male therapist?

Yes, you can request a female or male therapist when making your reservation. We will do our best to accommodate your preference based on availability.

Is Thai massage suitable for everyone?

Thai massage is generally safe for most people, but it may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, such as recent surgery, fractures, or severe osteoporosis. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor before booking and inform your therapist.

Can I eat before a Thai massage?

It is best to avoid eating a heavy meal at least 1-2 hours before your massage. A light snack or drink is fine, but a full stomach may make the experience less comfortable.

What is your cancellation policy?

When you make a reservation, we make sure that a room is prepared and a therapist is available. If you do need to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as you can. If you paid a deposit, then we ask you to make sure we get at least 2 hours’ notice of a cancellation or rescheduling then we will refund your deposit.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, we offer gift vouchers that can be purchased online or in-store. They make a perfect gift for friends and family who deserve some relaxation and pampering.

Do I have to undress in front of my therapist?

No. Your therapist will show you to your massage room and then leave you in private to undress. She will ask you before re-entering the room.

Will I need to provide my medical history?

If you are a first-time visitor, you will be asked some short questions covering medical history. This is for your safety, and to allow us to best tailor your treatment to your needs.

If I am pregnant is it safe to have a massage?

We are sorry to say we cannot provide pregnancy massage (our insurance has particular requirements). If you are in your first trimester it is NOT recommended to have a body massage at all. If you would like to look for a massage elsewhere (in your 2nd or 3rd timesters) then we recommend you consult your doctor first, and then find specialists in pregnancy massage.

What is the dress code when receiving massage?

Most of the massages we provide require application of oil. This can be aromatic or odour-less (your choice). You should remove clothing to a level with which you are comfortable. You are encouraged to leave your underwear on, and if you are concerned about getting oil on your underwear we can provide a disposable pair (they aren’t fashionable…but they do the job!). In any case, you’ll be covered at all times with a towel from upper thigh to waist.

Is tipping expected?

It is completely up to you! If you do, you can be assured that your therapist(s) will keep 100% of the tip. Please note that tips must be paid in cash. Our therapists can’t use the card machine to accept tips. Thank you!
